Sealant Requirements
When using a flexible sealing (silicone) a minimum gap of (b) between the outer frame and building structure must be maintained.

The expansion range of the flexible sealant used should be 25%. If the sealant used does not have an expansion range of 25% then a larger gap must be left accordingly.

For a rule of thumb when installing casement windows allow an 8mm gap.
